Buzz Words Are Bad For Business… And Meaningful Measurement

by Stacey Barr |

I’m teaching the Melbourne PuMP Blueprint Workshop this week, and today’s content included how to make your goals more measurable. One of the lovely participants in the workshop (thanks Steve!) showed me this video presented by Gerard Braud, at the International Association of Business Communicators 2012 World Conference: “The Worst Speech in the World“.

This speech obviously sounds stupid, but you know what? Many organisations’ or business’ strategies sound just as stupid when they are filled with such weasel words!

Deweasel your goals, people, or you won’t ever find meaningful measures!
